The single room is spacious enough and the deep bath is a nice luxury. Proximity to covered market streets filled with shops and restaurants is probably the best feature of the hotel. Front desk staff were super helpful recommending places to eat. And though a chain hotel, the breakfast buffet had a home cooked feel to it, with lots of healthy as well as western options, and the lady who greeted me each morning was so genki!

The location of the hotel is nice, around 6-8 minutes walk to the lift to subway. Around 8-10 minutes walk to convenience stores. It is a modern-designed Hotel. Comfy but not very spacious. However, we can still open two 24 inches suitcases at the same time by blocking the passway. The room is clean and you can take the amenities from the lobby at anytime. Free coffee and tea are provided at the lobby. Coin laundry is located at the ground floor. You can also dry the clothes there.

The room is super clean with comfortable bed/pillow and many amenities (I especially like the baht balls for hot soak in the half-bath tub). The massage chair and foot massage box in the queen double room was great to use after a long day of walking. Staff was very courteous and helpful. We stayed three days and all of us enjoyed the breakfast buffet, eventhough it does not vary too much each day but there were local dishes/soups/ to be tasted. Location was good too.

This is a great hotel & fantastic value for money in Kyoto. The location wasn't a far walk from the tourist areas, there is also a metro stop very close by. The area of the hotel is lovely, it's quiet & has some great local restaurants surrounding it. It felt like a very safe area. Breakfast buffet had a huge selection from Japanese & Western breakfast choices. Very clean. Comfortable beds. If you don't want your room cleaned in the day they still provide fresh towels, pyjamas & water outside the room. Coin laundry room available which includes the detergent & tumble dryers. We has a late bus onto our next destination and the hotel happily looked after our bags during the day & let us sit in the lobby until we had to go. Staff were very helpful & friendly. We will stay here again when we next visit Kyoto.

Quiet, clean, good sized rooms, within metres walk to Karasuma Oike station. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast has a variety of Japanese and Western style choices. Great restaurants close by, as well as 7/11, Familymart , and Lawsons. 15 min walk to the amazing Teramachi shopping district, 20 min walk to Gion. Close to Nijo temple and the Imperial Gardens. A definite gem of an accommodation.

The hotel was very clean with a great choice of amenities and an amazing breakfast. The value for money was unbeatable. The staff were all friendly, there's a subway station less than a minute's walk away, and you can reach a lot of attractions by foot if you don't mind a pleasant 20-45min walk.

We loved everything about this hotel: the location was absolutely fantastic for exploring all of Kyoto - the subway line and many buses were so convenient.(Be sure to use Exit 1 from the subway station if you don't need to use the elevator -- that puts you just around the corner from the hotel.) The staff members were all very kind and helpful with reservations and other info. Rooms were very clean and pleasant. And we really enjoyed the breakfasts each morning. Thank you for a truly wonderful stay!

Breakfast was good, the staff managing the breakfast room were lovely and welcoming. There is a coffee machine in the lobby and guests are able to help themselves to coffee whenever they wanted. Staff were happy to draw maps to help us find certain places. communication was good as most of the staff spoke English. Very close to the train station. The room was comfortable.

Good selection for Japanese breakfast which I love, although the quality could have been a little better. Size of the room ok, better than APA. Lots of amenities available. Great location, I think that area is really nice, you can even get to Osaka from the Karasuma station. Good washing machines available. staff helpful, you can ship your luggage to another city for a charge, just ask at the desk. Super useful.
